I have come to the conclusion that I am addicted to stripes and, by extension, plaid (for what is plaid but dual-directional stripes?). Seriously, almost every fabric I have bought lately has been either striped or plaid. I may need a solids intervention. I'm sure most everyone on my flist is familiar with NaNoWriMo. Now there is nacofimo: National Costume Finishing Month! I have nominated Teh Momster's Xmas present (that would be last year's Xmas present) as my project du mois. This should not only be fun, but also rid me of some costuming guilt!

Corgan is participating in the "On My Own Time" art competition which is put on by the NTBCA. There is a category for "Fiber Art" which I would interpret to include costuming. I ran up to Perth Street over lunch to procure some silk for the re-design of Teh Momster's outfit. I finally admitted that there is no way I am going to be able to finish it in time the way I had it designed.
